Set in 1996, the season follows the protagonists as they graduate from school and navigate the uncertainties of adult life amidst the chaotic backdrop of the era.
The goal of recreation of period-specific environments, from the characters' homes and schools to public spaces and emerging first commercial establishments. The color palette and textures reflect the aesthetic sensibilities of 1990s Russia, utilizing muted tones and worn surfaces to convey the economic challenges and transitional nature of the period. In contrast with the time period, the heroes go through a drama of age. The choice of props and personal belongings emphasise the scale of exaggeration of their beliefs and emotions.
